A driver was stopped and arrested near Fairfield Creek Road and County Road 30 northeast of Carlos for fourth-degree drunk driving.

A Miltona resident reported that people recently moved out of their rental property and deliberately damaged the home before they left.

Dispatch received a report of a vehicle doing doughnuts in a parking lot at the Runestone Community Center. The driver was cited for under-age drinking and driving, minor consumption of alcohol, open bottle and exhibition driving.

A license plate was turned into the police department.

The driver of a Ford Explorer left the road and hit a power line near Pizza Ranch.

A resident on 17th Avenue East reported that someone smashed a mirror off his car and left another mirror dangling. The incident happened sometime over the weekend.

A juvenile was cited for using tobacco on the school grounds of Discovery Middle School.

A driver of a 1970s or 1980s blue four-door car was seen driving through the alley and around the front of a house on Bryant Street. It happened at least 10 times that day and four times in a half-hour.

April 15

A driver was pulled over on Bryant Street and 10th Avenue and cited for having no insurance, driving with a revoked license and having expired registration tabs.

An officer was called to investigate suspicious activity at Big Ole Central Park on 2nd Avenue East. He spoke to the people in a couple of vehicles and they were reading the Bible and watching the blood moon. They were advised of the park hours.

A passerby reported that an object in the middle of the road was causing a traffic hazard near County Road 46 and Pioneer Road. An officer described it as some kind of typewriter and removed it from the road.

A resident on Melody Lane received a call from someone with a southern accent claiming to be Lieutenant Jackson with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. A deputy called the number back, and after the person answered and the deputy said who he was, he hung up.

A taupe-colored Cadillac Seville SLS was stolen from a residence on 4th Avenue East.

A small paisley purse was stolen from a car parked at Walmart.

A resident reported that a Rottweiler was running loose on Cardinal Lane.

A juvenile shoplifter at Fleet Farm was cited for theft and released to his parents.
