Wednesday, Sept. 5

Assist other agency, check on hitchhiker, person was walking to Starbuck, transported and met Pope County Sheriff’s Office, County Road 4, Highway 29.

Found property, caller reported finding a bike in her yard, Nelson.

Trespassing complaint, caller wanted to speak with deputy about someone trespassing, Farwell.

Driving complaint, vehicle all over the road, Garfield.

Suspicious vehicle, caller reported vehicle at park with tent near by, persons checked on, they are homeless, will be packing up and moving on.

Animal complaint, caller reported neighbor’s dog just ran his wife into the house and attacked her, caller stated he went out and shot three shots into the air and dog left after third shot.

Animal complaint, horse on trail, Nelson.

Property damage crash, vehicle versus deer, minor damage, permit issued for deer, County Road 42 NE, Prairie Road NE.

Property damage crash, caller reported female drove off the road, believes she is under the influence, no injuries, person was not drunk, state crash report, Evansville.

Assist other agency, caller reported there was a small 4X4 vehicle doing figure eights in the parking lot.


Wednesday, Sept. 5

Found property, punch card for Rainbow Rider was found.

Suspicious activity, caller viewed people walking to vehicle and exchanging small baggies for cash, person consented to search, nothing found.

Property damage crash, person driving west, front wheel locked up and spun around, hit tree in ditch backward, 50th Avenue SE, Nokomis Street SE.  

Shoplifting, male in custody, cited for theft.

Fraud, report of bad checks.

Property damage crash, two vehicles, no report, parties exchanged information, 17th Avenue E.

Property damage crash, minor crash in parking lot, no report, information exchanged, Fillmore Street.

Property damage crash, minor crash, no injuries, local crash report, 22nd Avenue E., Highway 29 S.

Property damage crash, minor crash in parking lot, local crash report, Dakota Street.

Found property, caller stated in the last two days she has found a backpack and a carrying case with flashlights in them on her property, Darling Drive NW.

Noise complaint/disturbance, caller received two separate calls about two men in the street fighting.

Suspicious activity, caller reported lot of traffic going in and out of trailer, drive extremely fast and there are small children present.

Public assist, male in plaid shirt waving hands, trying to hitch a ride.

Property damage crash, U-Haul hit overhang in drive-thru, Highway 29 S.
