Law Enforcement Blotter: Sept. 4


Tuesday, Sept. 4

Assist other agency, one running on foot toward Nokomis Street.

Check welfare of a person, possible slumper, driver was lost, pulled over to check directions on phone.

Burglary, storage unit lock was cut, Highway 29 S.

Fraud, caller reported receiving a counterfeit $20 bill, Miltona.

Found property, snowblower in field, Farwell.

Public assist, caller owns property across from park, concerned about parking along road and people in park after hours.

Public assist, deputy flagged down by person asking directions.

Found property, wallet found on Interstate 94, Osakis.

Assist other agency, car versus deer, assisted State Patrol with dispatching the animal, Highway 114.

Criminal damage to property, caller reported someone turned the water on to their trailer while they were gone and flooded it.

Harassment, caller reported someone was spreading rumors and he’d like advice as to how to make her stop, Brandon.

Shooting complaint, caller stated a group of people on a boat with no lights, shooting shotguns over his house, Osakis.  

Public assist, deputy flagged down by passerby, passed on info about recent criminal activity, Kensington.


Tuesday, Sept. 4

Motorist assist, driver was lost, officer gave directions.

Fleeing peace officer, one running on foot toward Nokomis Street.

Personal injury crash, two vehicles, one is smoking, state crash report, citation given to one person for failure to stop, 22nd Avenue E., Nokomis Street.

Property damage crash, minor crash report, 3rd Avenue E., South McKay Avenue.

Criminal damage to property, caller reported laundry room was broken into, 4th Avenue E.

Theft, theft of checks reported.

Suspicious vehicle, vehicle in lot with engine running, wipers on since 8 a.m.

Suspicious activity, caller witnesses something suspicious around 10 p.m. the night of Sept. 1, wanted to talk with officer, caller had a man ask where Walmart was when the man was in the parking lot, caller thought he was up to no good, wanted to know if other police had other calls on the man.

Fraud, caller reported someone she was with used her debit card without permission.

Noise complaint, caller reported two men outside yelling at each other.

Theft, caller reported theft of cigarettes and a gas drive off, Broadway Street.

Attempted fraud, report of a person trying to charge per purchases to someone else’s account.

Child endangerment, caller reported finding young child on road in front of his house, states nanny left, was supposed to be watching over the child.

Found property, turned in some ammunition.

Hit and run, caller was at a location on Saturday, has footage of vehicle being hit, minor crash report created.

Hit and run, caller reported vehicle backed into wife’s car and took off, no injuries, minor crash, 3rd Avenue E., Nokomis Street.

Driving complaint, vehicle all over the road.

Parking complaint, vehicle partially parked in handicapped parking spot.
