DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Monday, August 6

Drunk, caller reported that he took in a female who was intoxicated, she got mad and left in his vehicle, had a bottle of whiskey with her, left purse and ID at his house, want deputies to be aware, does not want her back at his house.

Suspicious vehicle, caller reported a vehicle on road with passenger side door open, area was checked, vehicle not located, Parkers Prairie.

Theft, caller reported vehicle missing, looks like someone pried open the service door to warehouse, happened either Saturday or Sunday, Highway 29 North.

Parking complaint, township supervisor reporting multiple parking complaints.

Driving complaint, caller reported vehicle drove on the wrong side of the road for about a block, Brandon.

Suspicious activity, caller reported that an airplane has been trying to kill her brother by dive bombing his house, Carlos.

Water complaint, comp reported no-wake buoys on south side of Lake Miltona, may be navigational hazard, unapproved buoys were place in impound lot.

Burning complaint, caller reported neighbor is burning something, not sure what it is, appears to be getting out of control.

Suspicious activity, woman reported male in the area stating he is from Dish Network, but not showing credentials, made inappropriate comments about house, spoke with residents in area, all have same description, South Darling Drive NW.

Lost animal, comp stated they lost four pigs in the area, Osakis.

Driving complaint, caller reported vehicle drove by going at least 90 mph.

Suspicious person, comp is out of town, two sons are home alone, called him stating a vehicle pulled up and driver was acting strange, asking the kids random questions, 16-year-old asked man to leave, he eventually did.

Suspicious activity, man saw to males in all black with their hoods up, carrying backpacks, walking around his street, saw lights on in a vehicle, thinks they are looking in it.

Tuesday, August 7

Water complaint, boat in middle of lake, no one around, Lake L’Homme Dieu.

Vehicle in ditch, off-duty officer notified of an occupied vehicle in ditch, Brandon.

Assist other agency, one-vehicle crash west of the interstate, assisted until State Patrol arrived, Evansville.

Attempted fraud/scam, possible identity theft.

Suspicious activity, woman reported seeing someone come out of her garage this morning, thought it was son, son just woke up so it wasn’t him.

Abandoned vehicle, trailer has been left at lake access for about a month.

Animal complaint, woman reported black calves in her area, Osakis.

Criminal damage to property, woman said her neighbor is wrecking her hayfield with irrigator, Carlos.

Water complaint, caller reported bunch of kids swimming at Darling/Cowdry Bridge, running across the road.

Suspicious activity, caller heard someone running through his yard, only saw black clothes, Brandon.

ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Monday, August 6

Burglary, home invasion happened an hour ago, told hand over wallets, phones and empty pockets.

Check welfare of person, caller reported female was sitting in a vehicle outside of a business, appears to be in and out of consciousness, person checked on, was playing scratch-off lottery ticket, is fine.

Animal complaint, caller said neighbor’s dog keeps running and going to the bathroom on the caller’s yard, has talked to neighbor, but it’s not stopping.

Suspicious person, caller reported man wearing a colorful vest wanted to measure the caller’s property and buildings, didn’t see a vehicle, man left on foot.

Animal complaint, comp believes there are racoons under her shed.

Public assist, caller reported person was selling items out of vehicle and does not have a peddler’s permit, person contacted, wasn’t selling items out of vehicle, advised to get permission to be on private property.

Property damage crash, minor crash in parking lot, Broadway Street.

Public assist, caller has questions about driving laws for juveniles.

Property damage crash, minor crash, no injuries, 34th Avenue West, Highway 29 South.

Motorist assist, small car stalled in the road.

Suspicious activity, comp reported several items missing from apartment.

Shoplifting, caller reported male currently in store concealing items, person arrested for illegally possessing firearm, theft, obstructing legal process.

Theft, set of golf clubs, golf spikes stolen from vehicle in parking lot, Broadway Street.

Tuesday, August 7

Suspicious vehicle, occupied truck in parking lot, comp said it appears party is living out of vehicle, comp would like the person to move along.

Property damage crash, minor crash in middle of parking lot, South Broadway Street.

Criminal damage to property, caller reported her vehicle was keyed last night while parked in driveway.

Criminal damage to property, man would like to report damage to his computer.

Property damage crash, two vehicles, minor crash, County Road 45, Highway 27.

Property damage crash, two vehicles, minor crash, Broadway Street.

Property damage crash, vehicle pulled over on side of road, minor crash, North McKay Avenue, Highway 29.

Animal complaint, dog has been barking all day.

Driving complaint, caller upset that trucks doing construction in area are driving fast.

Criminal damage to property, caller reported damage to windshield.
