Driver in wrong lane injured in rollover

A 21-year-old Fargo man was injured in a one-vehicle crash south of Alexandria Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Elmi Abdikadir Elmi was driving a 2005 Jeep Wrangler north in the southbound lane of Highway 114 south of County Road 4 in Holmes City Township at about 1:30 p.m., according to the State Patrol.

Southbound traffic swerved to avoid a collision and Elmi swerved to the left and ran off the road into the north ditch, striking a field approach.

Elmi, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Alomere Health with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Other agencies responding included the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, North Ambulance and Holmes City First Responders.
