A 34-year-old Lowry man was taken to the hospital Tuesday after crashing his motorcycle.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Nathanial Tahtinen was driving his 1985 Harley Davidson when he saw a deer in the road and upon braking to avoid the animal, lost control and crashed. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the State Patrol report.

Tahtinen was taken to the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood for non-life threatening injuries. The crash took place on Highway 55 near mile marker 65 in Reno Township. Assisting the State Patrol were the Pope County Sheriff’s Office and the Glenwood Police Department.
