Carlos man injured in motorcycle crash

A 35-year-old Carlos man was injured in a motorcycle crash Friday, June 8.

Shortly after 6 p.m., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a motorcycle crash on County Road 9 near the intersection with Crooked Lake Road NE about three miles north of Nelson.

According to the sheriff's office, Shane Michael Schlosser, who was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson, left the roadway and crashed in a grassy area where County Road 9 curves to the west. It was reported that Schlosser was picked up by a male in a white pickup.

Around 5 a.m. Saturday, June 9, Schlosser was brought to Alomere Health with significant neck injuries and was later transported to the St. Cloud Hospital, according to the sheriff's office.

The motorcycle was severely damaged.

The crash remains under investigation.
