Tornado sirens to sound Thursday as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week

Minnesota Severe Weather Awareness week will take place Monday, April 17 through Friday, April 21.

The week is designed to remind individuals, families, businesses, schools and institutions that it is important to plan ahead for severe weather.

Statewide tornado drills will take place Thursday, April 20. Douglas County will participate in these drills, which will take place at 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. During the drills, outdoor tornado sirens and NOAA weather radios will sound.
