Training offered on domestic violence
Someplace Safe and United Communities Advocating Non Violence, in cooperation with Alexandria Technical and Community College, will offer a training titled "Assessing and Managing Lethality in Domestic Violence, Stalking and Strangulation" on Thursday, Feb. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at ATCC, Room 205.
This training will help law enforcement, staff and volunteers who respond to victims of domestic violence learn how to identify the signs and red flags of domestic violence lethality and best practices response, learn how to recognize the identifiers and risks of stalking and strangulation for victims, and investigate and document the cases for prosecution to enhance victim safety.
