Lake Minnewaska access to close July 6
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Parks and Trails Division will temporarily close Eagles Point Public Water Access (PWA) on Lake Minnewaska in Pope County from Monday, July 6 to Tuesday, September 15 to improve the parking area and boat ramp.
The improvement project will involve resurfacing the parking area, adding an aquatic invasive species inspection station and American Disabilities Act (ADA) facilities, rebuilding the boat ramp, and addressing storm water management.
There are three additional public water access sites on Lake Minnewaska that will be open during the construction period, one in the city of Glenwood and two in the city of Starbuck (Hobo Park and Water’s Edge Restaurant/swimming beach).
