“Racial Equity Minnesota is working to equip people with the skills to address racial equity, one of the most critical issues facing all communities in Minnesota,” said Steve Pederson, Inclusion Network executive team member. “Whether a business is seeking to improve the work environment or retain employees, a school is dealing with bullying or exclusion, or an organization is looking to make its community more inclusive, Racial Equity Minnesota can help deliver positive outcomes and solutions.”

ABOUT RACIAL EQUITY MINNESOTA Racial Equity Minnesota focuses on increasing the capacity of organizations to address racial equity through a comprehensive portfolio of products and continuum of services, offered in a variety of formats from workshops to keynote addresses to performances.

By helping clients establish dialogue and a platform for understanding on a difficult topic, the community-based leaders in the network can illuminate the issues and demonstrate the value of addressing racial equity.

The network can help build cultural competence by:

• Convening institutional leaders to tackle a critical issue.

• Delivering high-quality curriculum to address and improve racial equity.

• Providing trainings, performances, presentations, workshops, technical services and road maps to address racial equity on the individual, structural and institutional levels.

• Helping students, teachers, employees and institutional leaders gain the knowledge, empathy, self-esteem, critical thinking and practical skills they need to be leaders and workers in an increasingly diverse world.

Racial Equity Minnesota is a nonprofit entity with nine member organizations that have qualified for membership by meeting a set of high standards related to experience, expertise and results.

The network is being launched with financial and technical support from The Saint Paul Foundation and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation.

The current members of Racial Equity Minnesota are Alexandria Inclusion Network, AMAZE, ASDIC Metamorphosis, Community Action Duluth, People’s Institute North, Pillsbury House Theatre, Rochester Diversity Council, Shared Vision of Bemidji, and the YWCA.
