Seniors take to the lake for afternoon of fishing
A group of about 70 seniors stepped aboard a flotilla of pontoon boats last Wednesday, making their way to a honey fishing hole somewhere on Lake Darling.
This was the 30th annual Senior Fishing Day hosted by the Viking Sportsmen Club.
Some seniors went along exclusively for the pontoon ride, but, regardless, it was a perfect afternoon with plenty of sunshine and a light breeze.
Afterwards, a fish fry was held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Alexandria where hundreds of people gathered for supper.
