Program to discuss zebra mussel results

A public program hosted by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on July 13 at Lake Carlos State Park Visitors Center near Alexandria.

The purpose of the program is to discuss the results from the 2012 zebra mussel mobile laboratory trials and the details of the 2013 Lake Darling treatments.

U.S. Geological Survey, New York State Museum Field Research Laboratory and Marrone Bio Innovations representatives will provide the information and answer questions related to the project.

A State Park vehicle permit is required for entering the park and can be purchased at the office for $5/day or $25/year.

For more information about the program, call the Lake Carlos State Park office at (320) 852-7200.
