Hockey: RCC hosts PeeWee A state tournament this weekend

The Runestone Community Center in Alexandria will be the site of the PeeWee A state hockey tournament this weekend as the top 11-13 year-old skaters will be on hand battling for the championship.

Action will begin on Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. when Hermantown takes on Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake.

Play continues at noon between Lakeville South and Eden Prairie, with St. Michael-Albertville meeting Elk River at 2 p.m. and Prior Lake/Savage facing Osseo/Maple Grove at 4 p.m.

On Saturday, March 17, consolation play will be at noon and 2 p.m., with the championship semifinals at 4 and 6 p.m.

On Sunday, March 18, the consolation championship will be held at 9:45 a.m., with the third place game at 11:45 a.m. and the state championship at 1:45 p.m.

Cost of the tournament for spectators is $8 for a daily pass or $15 for a tournament pass. A senior or student tournament pass will be $8, with a senior or student daily pass just $3.
