U.S. Congressman Collin Peterson, chairman of the Agriculture Committee in Washington, D.C., accepted the opportunity to promote Minnesota Corn Growers and the Minnesota ethanol industry during the Ethanol Tour, with the first stop at Viking Speedway in Alexandria.

Peterson talked with Douglas County corn growers, ethanol supporters and past chairman of the Douglas County Farm Service Agency and Viking Speedway board member Bert Pexsa about the items being considered in the new farm bill to increase the economy in rural Minnesota, with added production and use of ethanol. Ethanol supporters handed out American Lung Association health pamphlets about healthier, cleaner air from ethanol fuel.
