Register now for cap-and-trade symposium

Manufacturers from around the state are invited to attend an informative session at Alexandria Technical College on Thursday, January 21.

This free event, titled "Manufacturing Perspective: Cap-and-Trade Symposium" is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon.

Cap-and-trade systems have surfaced as the focus of climate policy discussions across the country.

Join organizers to learn about the proposed legislation and understand the potential economic impact on small manufacturers. The assembled speakers and panelists will share a national and regional perspective regarding the conversation surrounding cap-and-trade legislation.

Keynote speaker William L. Glahn has served as director of the Minnesota Office of Energy Security since August 2008. Among those serving on the panel are Al Crowser, general manager, Alexandria Light and Power and Tom Heller, CEO of Missouri River Energy Services. Jeremy Schwartz, Alexandria Technical College, will facilitate the panel.
