Laugh your head off New Year's Eve with The Stagebenders

As seen on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and a variety of other network and cable TV programs, the Stagebenders are also double winners of the MTV Comedy Challenge.

The Stagebenders - Gust Alexander and Kim Thomassen - almost always garner rave reviews when they perform to sell-out crowds all across America.

And on New Year's Eve, they will be making a Midwest stop on their national tour in Alexandria - and are hoping to perform in front of yet another sell-out crowd.

The Stagebenders will perform Thursday, December 31 at Holiday Inn beginning at 9 p.m.

Their performance will include improv, stand-up and music.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the show. Tickets are available at the Holiday Inn by calling (320) 763-6577 or by going online at

In addition to their countless corporate shows, including AT&T, MCI and Frito Lay, this comedic duo are staples as headliners at Harrah's Las Vegas every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Diehard fans include Geena Davis, The Kinks and the legendary Bud Friedman - all of whom are regulars at the "improvs" all over the country. Various TV and film appearances include ABC's America's Funniest People, MTV's The Jenny McCarthy Show and the Coen Brothers produced The Naked Man.

The Stagebenders are featured in Esquire magazine and were recently requested by Jay Leno again to appear on an upcoming Tonight Show episode.

Their show itself is a non-stop fast-paced hurricane of interactive comedy that has to be experienced to be believed.

After 15 years, their act has been honed to perfection. Their current project is The Stagebenders TV Show, a scripted, half-hour sitcom. If it leaves the audience anywhere near as frenzied as their stage show, even Abbott and Costello wouldn't want to follow them.
