The circus is coming to town!

An exciting crowd is rolling into the Alexandria area. The Alexandria Shrine Circus will be at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Friday, July 17.

This event is open to the public and will be providing entertainment at two different times, one at 2:30 p.m. and one at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for children 12 years of age and younger and $10 for adults. These tickets can be purchased at Elden's Food Fair, Pete's County Market or at the fairgrounds.

At the circus, attendees can also register to win one of four youth bicycles that will be given away. This will be an event for the whole family to come and watch, and very memorable.

This circus consists of 20 displays. The National Anthem will lead the program, followed by a series of special lighting, music and magic.

Audrey Michelle Alvardo will be the ringmistress for this year's show. She has been in the circus her whole life. She will start off the show and be the leader of the presentation.

This event will be complete with sheepdogs, motorcycles, hula-hoops, juggling, clowns, ponies, and elephants. The show will run non-stop with body benders and acrobats. To conclude there will be a grand finale, presenting each and every performer of the circus.

The George Carden Circus International is owned and produced by George Carden. Carden, who is the fifth generation in show business, has acquired all of his knowledge about the circus through first hand experience as he has been in the circus business all of his life.
