Letter - Cell phone users should have a permit

To the editor:

It is my opinion now that we have all these lower forms of microbes talking on their cell phones and driving into one another and occasionally running into mailboxes due to very heavy marijuana smoke in the cab.

I propose a $1,000 permit issued by the police department to anyone who wants to talk on their cell phone while driving "in motion." I also propose a $1,000 fine for anybody who destroys a mailbox and doesn't report it to local police authority and gets caught.

By the way, seat belts do save lives. At least three of my Marine engineering friends are alive because of them.
