Carlos Creek releases new wine: Hot Dish Red

Carlos Creek Winery hosted an event Friday, July 25 where customers voted on three possible blends for the winery's newest wine: Minnesota Nice: Hot Dish Red.

The choice known by participants as "Blend A" was the winner and became available to the public August 1.

Hot Dish Red is the newest product in a series of user-friendly, unassuming, and homegrown wines that are as full of character and flavor, according to the winery. The wines bring an uncomplicated and laid-back approach to wine without sacrificing taste and quality.

Carlos Creek describes Hot Dish Red as a full-bodied red wine made from a blend of Minnesota varietals, bred by the University of Minnesota to withstand the state's winters. It pairs well with hearty traditional Midwest meals, especially rib-sticking hot dish.

New additions to the Minnesota Nice series will be coming this fall.

Carlos Creek Winery is Minnesota's largest winery and has been making and selling fine wines since 1999. It is open to the public year-round seven days a week for tours and wine tasting.
