The community is invited to take part in a special event called Building with our Talent, where local talent will come together to perform in support of the Habitat for Humanity Women Build. The Women of Grace Women Build Team is coordinating the event that will take place on Sunday, September 9 beginning at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Brandon.

The team started making calls to see if there would be interest in doing something like this and were astounded by the positive responses. "It is simply awesome. We will have talent from all over the area," said team member Kathy Fynboh. "It will be talent galore."

Grace Lutheran Church's Steve Nelson will be master of ceremonies. Some of the talent performing that evening includes Vangie Anderson, Peggy Weise, Do Wop Divas, Sweet Adelines, Pastor Jake Dyrhaug and Hulda Rossum. There is also a top secret act for the finale.

A free will offering will be accepted in support of Habitat for Humanity's Women Build. Women of Grace is one of nearly 25 teams that have come together this past year to help raise money and awareness as well as take part in the construction of a Habitat home.

This is the first time the affiliate has built a home with predominately women volunteers.

"This was a great gift for all of us to be able to help work on a home for a family," said team member Shiloy Baldwin.
