Tom Tipton to perform at First Lutheran's outdoor service

Well-known Gospel singer, Tom Tipton, will perform in Alexandria on Sunday, August 28 at the First Lutheran outdoor worship service held at Alexandria City Park.

Throughout Tipton's 78 years of life experiences, singing the "old hymns" has been his source of strength and praise. With his powerful baritone voice, he brings the message of God's love, faithfulness and grace to all ages.

As a worldwide performer, Tipton has made more than 100 guest appearances on Robert Schuller's Hour of Power, The Billy Graham Crusade, Colson Prison Fellowship, performances for Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush and Vice Presidents Humphrey and Mondale, as well as multiple crusades in Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, Estonia, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Scandinavia, Germany, the Netherlands and the Holy Land.

Tipton's performance will take place at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church outdoor worship service, which is held every weekend at City Park in Alexandria in the lower park band shell.
