Learn about easy-to-grow veggies

An extension educator will share tips on growing fresh garden produce in a small space with minimal effort on Saturday, June 3, at the Douglas County Library Meeting Room from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Robin Trott, University of Minnesota Extension educator, will explain how to chose delicious, easy-to-grow vegetables, including carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers. She will also cover square foot gardening, which minimizes basic garden maintenance.

Future sessions include Garden 911 on July 1, Natural Disasters in the Garden on July 29 and Preserving the Harvest on August 26. There is no cost or pre-registration to attend.

The Douglas County Extension office can be reached at 320-762-3890 or in person down the hall from the Douglas County Library and Lakes Area Recreation.
