Maritime Gardens to host first two concerts in series
Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum (MLMM), 205 3rd Avenue West, Alexandria will present a new series of concerts at its Maritime Gardens outdoor stage.
Matt Harlan of Houston, Texas, Charlie Roth of St. Cloud, and Brian Hudson of New Orleans, Louisiana, will perform on Wednesday, July 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. A donation of $10 to $15 is suggested.
Tim Patrick and His Blue Eyes Band will perform on Friday, July 26 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 advance, $25 at the door and are available at the museum.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at both concerts. Bring a lawn chair.
Harlan embodies the term "singer/songwriter." He expresses Americana style through his vocals and the crew, including Phoebe Hunt, Warren Hood and Marty Muse, that joined him on his debut album Tips and Compliments.
Roth is an artist with a blend of Americana, folk, blues, country and Celtic genres. His fifth album Broken Ground continues to play all over the world.
Hudson, a folk singer/songwriter based out of Austin, released his first solo album in October 2010. Into the Black was named Best Concept Album of 2010 by Duluth News Tribune. He has toured the U.S. and Canada and was a headlining act at Houston's Mainstreet Crossing.
Tim Patrick and His Blue Eyes Band got its name from Frank Sinatra's nickname, Old Blue Eyes.
Patrick, nationally recognized jazz singer and award-winning vocalist and his band are making a name for themselves in the Twin Cities area and beyond.
With a 10-piece band, their original CD The Shadow of Your Smile is playing on jazz radio stations in 27 countries.
Patrick loves to sing popular music from many different eras. Todd Matheson is the director of the band.
