Lakes Area Theatre presents 'My buddy Henry' on stage Friday
Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
In the fashion of ventriloquist Edgar Bergen and his dummies Charlie McCarthy, Mortimer Snerd and Effie Klinker comes Tommy and Henry to the LAT stage on Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m.
Tommy gets implicated in a robbery of thousands of dollars from the club where he performs. His smart aleck sidekick Henry is not helping during the investigation.
My Buddy Henry was written by Alexandria playwright Bob Sievers, who is co-directing the show with Ann Hermes. The show stars Philip Goellner, Bruce McKirdy, Scott Giannone and Lori McKirdy. Bob Piotrowski will provide music, with Christy Meier designing and performing sound effects.

It's 6:45 on a May morning, and Ray and Iver are ready to face the day's challenges at their East Side Skelly. They pump gas, have two service bays, a pit and a hoist, make repairs, sell tires and solve mysteries.
Listen in Sunday, May 5 at 12:30 p.m. on KXRA 1490 AM to hear how they get to the bottom of The Case of the Potent Punch.
The show was written by Alexandria playwright Chuck Grussing, who also directed the show and stars in it. Joining him are Jim Thoreen, Philip Goellner, Kat Liesmeyes, Rachel Barduson and Scott Giannone, who will be the announcer and perform sound effects. Bob Piotrowski arranged and performed the music.
