Update: Woman dies in Alexandria apartment fire

Someplace Safe invites public to tea

Someplace Safe invites members of the Alexandria area to attend its sixth annual Vintage Tea Fundraiser on Saturday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Living Waters Church, Alexandria.

A silent auction will include items that were donated from businesses and members of the community. Exquisite Events Catering will serve a light lunch and refreshments.

Inspirational writer and artist Jodi Hills of Alexandria will speak. Hills has written and illustrated 10 books.

Also joining the program is harpist Annita Walsh, who will play music throughout the afternoon.

Tickets are $20 and are available at Someplace Safe Thrift Store; ask for Karen.

Someplace Safe is also looking for hostesses to decorate tables for the tea. The themes can be anything, from beach themes to Alice in Wonderland.
