Girl Scouts to host pool party
Did you know that on March 12, 1912 Juliette Gordon Low organized the first Girl Scout Troop in Savannah, Georgia?
More than 50 million American women have enjoyed Girl Scouting during their childhood - and that number continues to grow as Girls Scouts of the USA continues to inspire, challenge and empower girls.
The 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting will be celebrated in Alexandria on Sunday, April 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Discovery Middle School pool. Troop 883 invites registered Girl Scouts to attend the pool party.
There is no charge to attend because of a grant from Youth as Resources and The United Way. Several activities are planned.
Pre-registration is required. E-mail email@example.com or call (320) 762-7297.
