Alexandria musicians to perform in Choral Arts Finale
The Alexandria Jefferson High School Concert Choir is one of six choirs from around the state selected to perform in Concordia University, St. Paul’s ninth annual Choral Arts Finale. The performance will be Sunday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
The choir, under the direction of Steve Deitz, auditioned by sending a recording in early January.
The six selected choirs will participate in a full-day choral clinic on the campus of Concordia University, culminating in a concert with both solo and massed performances.
Other choirs selected include Arioso RAACHE Choirs from the Rochester area, the Armstrong High School Concert Choir of Plymouth, the Cardinal Choir of Willmar High School, the Minnehaha Academy Singers of Minneapolis, and the K Valley Select Chorale of Apple Valley High School.
Christus Chorus, Concordia’s concert choir, will also perform.
