Schaffer named one of top 10 seniors
Kristi Schaffer, daughter of Doug and Deb Schaffer of Brandon, was recognized as one of the top 10 seniors in the College of Agriculture, Food Systems and Natural Resources. Schaffer is attending North Dakota State University in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness. She has been involved in a variety of campus organizations over the years, including Blue Key Honor Society, Saddle and Sirloin, Collegiate Farm Bureau, National Agri-Marketing Association and Ag Ambassadors. Upon graduation, Schaffer will begin a human resources position with Wakefield Pork in southern Minnesota.
Steffel competes with Mock Trial team
Katelyn Steffel of Alexandria is among nine undergraduates from the University of South Dakota (USD) who will travel to Orlando, Florida to compete in the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) national championship tournament April 11-13. By advancing to the championship, the USD team is among the top 48 mock trial teams in the country. The USD mock trial team also received the Spirit of AMTA Award, which is given to the team that demonstrates the highest level of collegiality, civility and professionalism.
