Summer Food Service Program offered locally
Alexandria School District 206 is participating in the federal Summer Food Service Program, which provides free breakfast and free lunch to all children ages 1 through 18.
During the school year, many school age children participate in nutritious school meals. Lack of available nutritious meals during the summer may set up a cycle of poor performance once school begins in the fall.
The Summer Free Meals Program is designed to fill the gap in nutrition that may occur during the summer. All children who live or visit the community are welcome to participate in free breakfast and free lunch.
The menu will be posted online at www.alexandria.
