Our Saviour's/Fahlun Council receives Seven Seals Award

(Left to right) Pastor Jeremy Pedersen, captain/chaplain; Ron Muehlbauer, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Area Chair; and Joel Blank, Greg Debilzen and Gerry Sather, Our Saviour’s/Fahlun Parish Council members, were in attendance as the council accepted the ESGR Seven Seals Award for supporting military commitments.

Pastor Jeremy Pedersen, a chaplain/captain in the Minnesota Army National Guard, serves a two-point parish in Nelson, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and Fahlun Lutheran Church. The parishes have been supportive of his military commitments over the years, so he recommended the council for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Seven Seals award.

The Seven Seals, Seals of the active and reserve components, is the broadest and most inclusive award given by the ESGR and is presented by senior leadership. The award is presented in recognition of significant support to a military service member. The ESGR recently presented the award to the Our Saviour's/Fahlun Council.

The ESGR is a Department of Defense Program, established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in resolution of conflicts arising from an employee's military commitment.
