Debbie Griffith to present 'Meal with a Message'
On Monday, October 22, special speaker Debbie Griffith will present a "meal with a message" with the topic, "Got Jesus?" It will take place at Alexandria Technical and Community College, Room 743.
The buffet table opens at 6:30 p.m., and Griffith's message will begin at 7 p.m.
Griffith's everyday living mixes the joys and challenges of being a wife, mom, speaker, writer and radio host. Having grown up wanting to live on stage in New York City, Griffith thinks it is crazy that she ended up in the "ice box of the nation." She uses theatrical props, musical theater, as well as humorous and dramatic monologues, to convey her message.
Hear Griffith share her testimony on walking with Jesus every day and how she applies His word to her life. She will speak about her season of anxiety and depression, her husband's cancer, scoliosis back surgery and about the adventures of being a wife and mom of four boys.
Griffith and her family live in International Falls. Her one minute radio feature, "Everyday Matters," is heard on 57 stations throughout the U.S. and Canada. She recently filmed 10 encouragement commercials for Focus on the Family's new television ministry.
Tickets are $10 each. RSVPs are appreciated and can be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (320) 335-1407.
