Roddin' Round the Lake to take place July 11 and 12 in Osakis

Classic car shows are a source of fascination for younger generations and nostalgia for older generations.

The 23rd annual Roddin’ Round the Lake event will have activities that all ages will enjoy. It will take place Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 in Osakis. Following is a schedule of the car show’s events:

Friday, July 11

5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Social Night/Customer Appreciation Feed. Serving pulled pork sandwiches, chips, drinks and dessert at the NAPA store until gone. Sponsored by NAPA.

Saturday, July 12

8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Car show registration, downtown.

8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Show-n-Shine at Central and Main.

12 p.m. Celebrity Auction at Pollard Community Center. Doors open at 10 a.m. Lunch will be available.

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kids’ games.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drawings for $200 worth of Chamber Bonus Bucks.

9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bobbin’ Round Town.

2:30 p.m. Awards.

After awards, parade through the Memorial Home, followed by a cruise around the lake.

Other activities include:

● Kids drawing.

● Shuttles to Panther Distillery.

● Downtown 50’s Music by “Bullet Bob” DJ Entertainment.

● Drawing for a 41-inch tool box.

After the events, all are welcome to join the Central Lakes Cruzers club at a campfire to relax and chat.

The campfire will start two miles north of Osakis on County Road 3 at 5:30 p.m. A map will be provided. The club will furnish pretzels and soft drinks. Bring chairs and stay as long as you like.
