4-H day camps set for summer 2014

This summer, there will be four 4-H day camps for children who have completed kindergarten through fourth grade. There will be opportunities to make friends, play games and learn. 

The four camps scheduled for this summer are as follows:

June 25: Explore Animals – Explore the world of animals, their habitats, how to care for them and more. Located at Alexandria City Park, Alexandria.

July 16: Explore Nature – Explore the natural world around you through games, crafts and food. Located at Lake Osagi Park, Osakis.

July 23: Explore Machines – Explore and create simple machines using Legos, creating junkbots and more. Located at Brandon School.

August 15: Explore County Fair – Explore the Douglas County Fair up close and personal. Located at Douglas County Fairgrounds, Alexandria.

The day camps begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. Youth are asked to bring their own sack lunch for noon meal to all camps.

All youth who have completed kindergarten through fourth grade are welcome.

Registration is $7 per person for each day camp or $25 for all four camps. Register one week prior to camp.
