Tree of Lights marks 26th year
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the Tree of Lights campaign, sponsored by the Douglas County Hospital Auxiliary. The tree offers a way to remember loved ones or to honor those who have impacted people’s lives in a positive way.
The Tree of Lights campaign will benefit many in the community, as funds raised will go directly to Hospice of Douglas County and/or the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf.
Donors elect which service(s) receives their contribution and may also request an acknowledgment card to present to an individual or family member.
The name of the person they honor or remember through their donation will be published in the Echo Press soon after Wednesday, December 25.
To make a donation in honor or memory of someone, donation cards will also be available at Elden’s Fresh Foods, Pete’s County Market and the Douglas County Hospital gift shop, all in Alexandria.
The tree, located on the west lawn at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, is lit on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
