The Alexandria Area Arts Association will hold its 39th annual Art in the Park on Saturday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Alexandria City Park. It is free and open to the public.

City Park will be filled with more than 150 booths of work from around the country and will feature apparel, ceramics and pottery, drawings, glass, jewelry, metal work, mixed media, naturals and textiles, painting, photography, printmaking, wood and crafts made from recycled and found objects.

There will also be live music all day on one of two stages in the park, as well as a variety of artists demonstrating their crafts and opportunities to sign up for classes.

Food vendors will include Royal Concessions, Alexandria Sertoma Club, Oof-da-Tacos, Grigg’s Cuisine, Geno’s Concessions, The Nut Hutte, Doug’s Kettle Korn, Midwest Concessions, The Wrap Shack, Jaks and Cotton Candy for College.

Limited on-site parking is available. Rainbow Rider will shuttle people to and from the park from the Douglas County Fairgrounds for $1 each way. It will run continuously during the event.
