Construct a Muppet sock puppet and put on a show

Does your child like the Muppets? Would your child like to build his or her own puppet, write a script and put on a show?

In Puppetry Arts, youth in grades 1-6 will learn to create their own Muppet sock puppet and open up their imagination to write the script, produce and star in their very own puppet show.

They will have the opportunity to work together as a team by putting on a performance during the last session.

Instructor Jim Black has worked with the Muppet team and as a script and song writer, puppeteer and performer in the award-winning television puppet series Quigley’s Village.

Kids should bring a snack for after school.

Cost is $29. Class is on Mondays and Thursdays, January 27-13 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Woodland Elementary School in Alexandria.
