Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:

LAT will present two short dramas on Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. The first, Comedy of Danger, is about three people trapped in a cave that is filling up with water. The second, entitled Finger of God, is about an investor who has stolen money for the second time in his life.

Directed by Mike Roers, the show stars Benjamin Roers, Caroline Roers and Kip Sundlee, with Bruce Wegner voicing a character and performing the sound effects.

Growing up on a dairy farm near Fergus Falls inspired sisters Angela Foster and Candace Simar to co-author a book entitled Farm Girls.

KXRA 1490 AM will air a show featuring excerpts from their book on Sunday, May 19 at 12:30 p.m.

Foster is a poet and memoirist who teaches creative writing at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis and lives on a farm in Pine City. Simar is a writer and poet from Pequot Lakes who carries a passion for Minnesota history and her Scandinavian heritage.
