Prairie Wind Players to hold auditions

Auditions will be held on September 17-18 at 6:30 p.m. for Prairie Wind Players November production, The Importance of Being Earnest, at Roosevelt Hall in Barrett.

One of Oscar Wilde's greatest plays, The Importance of Being Earnest is a farce, a romantic comedy of manners and a merciless satire on Victorian society.

The characters include Lady Bracknell, the son-in-law-hunting dragon; Gwendolyn, her daughter, whose suitor, Jack Worthing, was found in a handbag; Algernon Moncrieff, Jack's wastrel friend; Lane, the servant; Cecily Cardew, Jack's spoiled ward; Miss Prism, her governess; Dr. Chasuble, the confused vicar; and Merriman, Jack's country butler.

Those interested in auditioning but unable to attend the auditions, should call the director, Claremont Anderson, at (320) 815-9403.
