Photographs sought for upcoming exhibit

This photo was taken by Shawn Stinton, EAC Photo Club photographer, of a young child in Peru.

The Evansville Arts Coalition will reopen for the 2011 season with its annual photography exhibit at the Evansville Art Center (EAC) in downtown Evansville.

The exhibit will run March 11 through April 30. Gallery hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays or by appointment. EAC hopes to have a variety of photographs on exhibit.

Each photo entered must be framed and ready for hanging. Frames must be at least 5 by 7 inches and not more than 18 by 24 inches in size. Each artist may enter a maximum of five photos that have not been in a prior EAC exhibit.

The photos may be any subject, black and white, or color. Photographs must have been taken by the artist. The EAC will determine if photographs are appropriate for all audiences and will hang the display.

Photos may be for sale. The artist will determine the price. EAC retains a 40 percent commission per sale. Put your name, phone number and price, if for sale, on the back of each photo.

To display your photographs, call Mark at (320) 834-4041 to arrange a time to deliver them to the art center before March 9. All photos must be picked up at EAC on Saturday, April 30 between noon and 2 p.m.
