Lakes Area Theatre presents Cars

Anne Clark will share an original essay entitled Cars on the Lakes Area Theatre radio production this Sunday, November 14.

Lakes Area Theatre's (LAT) production of "Cars" will hit the airwaves this Sunday, November 14.

"Cars" is an original essay written and performed by Anne Clark, a local writer who teaches composition at Alexandria Technical and Community College. The essay is a humorous and heartwarming story of three important cars in Clark's past.

The show airs on KXRA 1490 AM from 12:30 to 1 p.m. and will be availalbe at a later date on the LAT website,, or KXRA's website,

LAT and KXRA offer weekly radio theater shows on Sundays at 12:30 p.m. October through May. Shows are performed before live studio audiences, recorded and played back on the radio. For information, visit

Upcoming performance dates

The public is invited to view live performances at Lakes Area Theatre, 2214 Geneva Road NE (log building next to the Lake Geneva public access). Admission is $5 for half hour shows and $10 for hour-long shows. Following is the schedule:

Friday, November 19: A Christmas Carol, a drama, director to be determined (one hour).

Friday, December 10: Phoebe and Maude, a comedy directed by Claudia Bursch (half hour).

Friday, December 17: Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar, a drama directed by Paul Schoenack (half hour).
