Gail Cloutier saw a broad-winged hawk gracing her Alexandria yard; the first time she has seen one at her house. When she watched it jump from the ground to an evergreen branch, she hurried to get a photo. Broad-winged hawks, which are common in Minnesota, are one of a few American hawks that migrate in a group. Thousands of these hawks travel together in groups called kettles. If you have a great photo, email it with a brief description to jsly@echopress.com.
