Alex ArtWorks’ Third Thursdays Art Show opens for the season on Thursday, June 20. The other two shows will take place on Thursdays, July 18 and August 15. Each show runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at Depot Express Restaurant in Alexandria.

The White Earth Powwow is Becker County’s oldest, continuous event. Last year, more than 1,000 dancers and 22 drum groups were registered. Organizers are expecting good attendance for the 145th anniversary event, which is set for Thursday through Sunday, June 13-16 on the powwow grounds in White Earth.
