A thousand Minnesota union workers, some still wearing their hard hats, rallied in the state Capitol after work Tuesday to show support for their Wisconsin brethren who are fighting a Republican governor and legislators working to remove most public employee bargaining rights.

David A. Syverson, 75, of River Falls, Wis., passed away Monday, May 11, 2009. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 at English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, Wis.; there will be visitation for one hour prior to the funeral.
Mildred H. “Millie” Berg, 95, of Ellsworth, Wis., died peacefully Monday, March 30, 2009 in the town of El Paso, at the home of her son Norris and his family. Funeral services for Millie were held Saturday, April 4, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Beldenville, Wis.
