Funeral services were held for Naomi Jean Thomas of Alexandria, the daughter of Pastor Don and Vi Salo of New York Mills, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Apostolic Lutheran Church in New York Mills with Pastor Carl Lamppa officiating.

A 40-year-old South Dakota man pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide Wednesday. The charges against Thomas Patrick Michel, 40, of Webster, South Dakota, stem from a car crash that took the life of 73-year-old Earl Haugesag Jr. of Ashby nearly two years ago.
