Rick Schueler of Alexandria was at the inaugural parade on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. Tuesday. But, he didn’t get to see it. All he watched was the throng of spectators lined along the parade route.
Two men from the Douglas County area died after their truck hit a bridge guardrail and plunged into a creek in northwest Wisconsin Sunday morning.
Richard "Rick" Klimek, 38, of Lowry and his nephew, Matthew Baumann, 27, of Alexandria were pronounced dead at the scene.
Ignatius “Iggy” Rick, 77, of Pelican Rapids, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2008, in his home on Lake Ida, under the care of family and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, July 21, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, with interment at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
