Runestone electric reports $68 million in assets

During the business meeting, board president Audrey Hjelle and CEO Rick Banke gave reports on the activities and financial condition of the cooperative, as well as the new headquarters building and rates. The cooperative reported assets of $68 million with more than 13,700 accounts at the end of 2012.

Small change makes a difference with REA's Operation Round-Up Runestone Electric Association’s Operation Round Up has distributed more than $475,000 in grants to community-minded groups and organizations throughout the Cooperative’s service territory since its inception seven years ago. More than 61 percent of REA members allow their bills to be rounded up an average of 54 cents per month amounting to $6.44 per participating member for the year.
