Douglas Lund

Douglas P. Lund, 55, of Lake Park, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16 at the David-Donehower Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, with the Rev. James Clausen officiating. Lund Boat hit by layoffs

Slumping boat sales – worse than at any time in 40 years – forced a layoff of about 140 workers at the New York Mills Lund Boat manufacturing plant the last two weeks.

Beverly A. Lund, 71, of Menahga, beloved wife of Edwin D. Lund, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids on Monday morning, October 13, 2008 surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home in Menahga, continuing for one hour prior to the start of services at the church on Friday. Funeral services have been set for 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the First English Lutheran Church in Menahga, with the Rev. Steven Bruer officiating. Interment will take place in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery west of Menahga. Arrangements are being provided by Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home.
