The Alexandria Jaycees organization will host the spring Minnesota Jaycees State Convention this weekend.
Program changes after KSAX closed its doors earlier this year had folks concerned about a silent night during the annual Jingle Bells telethon in Alexandria. But the show must and will go on thanks to community support.
It was another successful year for the annual Jaycees Jingle Bells Telethon. As of Monday afternoon, the total amount raised from the event was $138,200, according to Jaycee member and one of this year’s organizers, Alicia Klimek.
The ring-a-ling, linging of telephones will hopefully be heard this Saturday during the 59th annual Jingle Bells Telethon. The phones, however, will be ringing at different times than they did last year.
This year’s Alexandria Jaycees fundraising event will take place Saturday, December 13 from 5:30 to 10 p.m., which is an hour earlier start time and a two-hour earlier end time than last year.
