Historic songs from the recent and distant past will be celebrated in the sixth annual “Old Fashioned Sunday Afternoon Musicale” on Sunday, February 22, at 2 p.m. at the Osakis Lutheran Church, 310 First Avenue East.

Former Detroit Lakes resident Wayne C. Gordon, 61 of Big Lake, Minn., passed away at his home on Saturday, June 28, 2008, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello. There will be a private interment. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.
Gordon O. “Jug” Eckre, 80, of Frazee, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 in the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Fargo.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Frazee with the Rev. William Aufdenkamp officiating.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Frazee. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furey Funeral Home, Frazee.
